How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account directly through the app. If you have already deleted the app, you can log in via out website and delete your account from there.

You can also reach out to us by emailing hello@allycouples.com.

To delete your account though the app:

Sign in / open the app

Click on "More" in the bottom menu

Click on "Profile"

Click on the "Delete account"-button

You will receive a confirmation email from us. We will delete your account within 24 hours

When your account has been deleted we will send you a new email

Active trial period or subscription?

Please note that if you have an active trial period or subscription, it needs to be canceled separately. The easiest way to do this is directly through the app.

Do like this:

Sign in / open the app

Click on "More" in the bottom menu

Click on "Profile"

Click on "Manage subscription"

Choose to cancel your trial period or subscription

If you are unable to do this from within the app, you can follow these instructions.

Connected with partner?

If you are connected with your partner we will notify your partner that your account has been deleted as they won't be able to access your answers anymore.

Are our relationship problems too big?

Ally is a tool you use entirely on your own, and if your relationship problems are so significant that one or both of you often feel bad in your relationship, you may need more support. If you are facing violence, threats, or frequent major conflicts we strongly recommend seeking assistance from a local couples therapist or counselor.

If not, then you will likely benefit from using Ally - whether you are looking to repair relationship issues or simply want to improve your connection.

How can I use Ally as a therapist?

How do I cancel my subscription?

Here's how to cancel your subscription (iPhone):

Open your phone's "Settings" app.

Tap on your account (Apple ID, iCloud, Media & Purchases)

Tap on "Subscriptions"

Tap on the subscription you want to manage, "Ally Premium", among active subscriptions

Tap on "Cancel Free Trial" or "Cancel Subscription" depending on whether the trial period has ended or not. Done!

Here's how to cancel your subscription (Android):

Open the Google Play app

Tap on the profile icon in the upper right corner

Tap on "Subscriptions"

Select the subscription you want to manage, "Ally Premium"

Tap on "Cancel Subscription"

Follow the instructions

With Android, you also have the option to pause your subscription.

My partner and I are unable to connect, what could be wrong?

To connect with your partner:

Sign up to premium

From e.g. the profile page, click "Connect"

Click "I'm first"

Share your code (e.g. via SMS)

To accept your partners invitation:

If you have received your invitation via SMS click the link in the SMS to download the app or click here to download

After signing up, click "I have been invited"

Enter the invitation code from your partner

Click "Connect"

If you still aren't able to get connected, please contact us at hello@allycouples.com and provide the two email addresses involved, and we will help you.

Question 12

The invitation code that I got from my partner is not working, what can I do?

Sometimes the letter O is mistaken for the digit 0. If the code contains O/0, feel free to try switching between them to see if it works.

Your partner could also copy the code and send it via, for example, SMS so that you can be completely sure that the code is correct.

How to use Ally with my partner?

Pair with your partner to share answers in the app and work together on your recommended exercises.

Sign up to Ally Premium - you get a 7 days free trial to try it out. Premium includes access for both you and your partner.

Invite your partner by selecting “Connect” on the home screen. You'll be provided with a code that you can either display to your partner or share via SMS.

Your partner downloads the app and creates their own account. After signing up, they can choose "Connect with Partner" on the home screen and input the provided code to connect with you.

Both of you will receive a confirmation, and on your respective profile pages, you can verify that you are successfully connected.

You can also begin using Ally individually and invite your partner at a later stage.
