  • Marie-Claire is pure magic. She has the ability to make you feel like the most important person in the moment, to give you a safe space to be vulnerable and share your needs. She genuinely wants you to succeed in you relationship with your partner, and with yourself. I'd recommend her to any couple that wants to re-connect or build a stronger bond.

  • Marie-Claire is a wonderful intimacy (sex) coach. She's a beautiful, professional woman that will put you at ease to discuss anything and everything. There is no judgement and nothing is taboo. My partner and I spend 24 hours at the Yurt of Love. It was very magical. She took the time to listen to our concerns and our wants for our couple and gave us so many insightful ways to tackle our sexual issues. Thank you so much MC for helping us rekindle the spark that was missing in our relationship.

  • Two years ago, at the age of 52, I decided I was ready to start dating again. I hadnā€™t been on the market for 30 years, but thought it might be fun. I was wrong. Online dating was frustrating and left my confidence and enthusiasm in tatters. So, at 54, I decided I needed help and contacted MC. After an initial consultation, she felt she could help me. We worked on (among other things) changing my mindset and approach to dating, relying less on dating apps and more just putting myself in situations to meet people; focussing less on ā€œdatingā€ per se and more just on getting out and having some fun; interacting with others with more confidence. After two sessions and within two weeks of working on this new approach, I met someone with whom I feel very connected to. I feel hopeful about the future. MCā€™s kindness, positivity and expert guidance have made all the difference. You canā€™t argue with success. Highly recommend her services as a dating coach.

  • I have worked with Richard for over two years now and I highly recommend his services. I found him approachable and empathetic with each of the issues I am working through. His techniques are very personable and brings you to a place of self awareness to understand the root of each issue.

  • Iā€™ve known Doc Haney (Richard) for more than 20 yrs. My first contact with him was to seek advice on a relationship impasse. He acted as a joint marriage counselor, meeting us separately and both together. The situation was successfully resolved with the help of Richardā€™s broad-minded approach that didnā€™t pigeon-hole two very different people into any particular psychological modality. A good counselor uses modalities to serve individuals, not the other way around. Richardā€™s education and experience go far beyond the field of psychology, enabling him to think ā€œout of the boxā€. Based on my positive experience many years ago, I sought his counsel again recently, this time individually for a completely different problem, and again his counsel led me to overcome my difficulties. Richardā€™s manner is relaxed and personable without a hint of formality. It immediately puts his client at ease. He grasps the problem quickly without asking you to narrate ā€œthe story of your life since diapersā€. If you want to walk away from every session feeling like you just had a heart-to-heart talk with your brother, Richard is for you.

  • Richard brings a wealth of experience and professionalism to his practice. His open and straight-forward kind manner enables him to connect easily with people and zero in on their key issues. His concept of Partners-in-Healing is not just a slogan-It is a life-style. He is assiduous about getting down to the root causes and working with people to develop effective and creative solutions. I would highly recommend Richard to anyone who is looking for a heart-connected, down-to-earth counsellor who always puts people and their needs first.

  • Rory is an extraordinarily wise, caring and supportive therapist. Rory has an impressively informed, empathetic and action-oriented approach to helping people get unstuck. Iā€™ve observed substantial progress towards setting and reaching my goals. Rory has helped me get outside of my head and to be more mindful and accepting. As a result positive and incremental behavioural changes have led to a higher quality of life for me and my loved ones. Thank you Rory!! Genuinely grateful for all that you do! As indicated by the 5 stars, I would highly recommend booking time with Rory if youā€™re ready to move from a fixed towards a growth mindset. In factā€¦ āļø āļø āļø āļø āļø - there ā€¦ Rory is 10 stars.

  • Iā€™ve had the incredible fortune of being able to see Rory on and off when Iā€™ve needed for many years. After seeing several other counsellors before, I found myself always returning to Rory for his support and encouragement during both good and bad times, providing a relaxed and comfortable environment where change and progress always seem feasible. He has been incredible with flexibility with his schedule, where at times I worked hours that most could not accommodate, as well as using video and phone calls to suit whatever makes it easiest and least stressful to meet. One of my favourite things about Rory is that he continues to learn, study and try new techniques, modalities, and will do research when necessary. Depending on the session, we could just talk one time, or we could try out different things depending on the day and vibe. He has also done more research and has more understanding on my various chronic illnesses then most of my doctors and family members. Rory as a counsellor helps to make you feel safe and welcomed. He helps gently push you to confront what you need to, while reminding you of the positive growth and change that can come from it. I cannot thank Rory enough for all he has done over the years, and hope more people are lucky enough to become his clients.

  • I've been a client of Rory's for about a year and a half. I reached out to him as a potential client in the midst of terrible depression caused by many things, but exasperating it all was the pandemic. My first few appointments were essentially me crying and Rory listening, I started off feeling exhausted afterwards. Rory was compassionate, understanding, and offered insights and suggestions to help me start moving forward. I quickly trusted Rory and accepted his guidance and help. My life has turned upside down and changed dramatically for the better in the last year. I know myself infinitely better, my depression and anxiety are under much better control and I'm making steps to have a life that is in line with what I want and that is in sync with my values. I always feel excited for my appointments, and energized afterwards. Rory...I will never be able to properly express how grateful I am to what you offer the clients in your care. Thank you so much.

  • I have attended many of the lectures over the past few years and have always found them to be interesting and informative. They have challenged my thinking and better yet, they have provoked discussions with my spouse, friends or colleagues. I tend to "pick and choose" what lectures I attend. Some I go to because of my professional work as a Social Worker; others I go to because I am a wife and mother of six and YES, relationships do matter. I highly recommend these and have actually encouraged many friends and colleagues to attend. Each one of them has thanked me for sending them along. Well done.

  • I have attended many of the Relationships Matter seminars sponsored by the Capital Choice Counselling Group, and have always found them informative, educational, insightful and entertaining. The speakers are generally very well informed and wonderful communicators. The sessions on Happiness and Advice on making relationships work have been among my favourites. It is a wonderful way to spend an evening and meet interesting and like-minded people. My only complaint is that it is often difficult to arrive by 7pm on a worknight, and I preferred the Friday night format (compared to the current Thursday schedule). I plan to attend more in the future and have recommended them to friends as well!

  • Capital Choice Counselling Group has been offering seminars at St. Paul University for the past several years, and I have attended quite a few of them. As a therapist, I take any opportunity to continue educating myself, and to learn about being a better spouse and mother. The topics have been varied over the years, but the focus remains on family and marriage. Most recently, I attended the "online dating" seminar, it really opened my eyes. It made it relevant the fact that one of the presenters spoke of her own online dating experience. I like the informal format and the opportunity for asking questions. I will continue to attend.

  • When I first started counseling with Elim, I was in a very dark place and was skeptical that anything could help. 1 year later I am now at a level I never thought I would reach. Mike and his team are true professionals and truly care about their clients. They also use scripture to guide you through. I definitely recommend Elim of you are looking for Christian counseling

  • Overpriced, 100% devoid of Biblical counsel, and thoroughly disappointing. Even after two requests to use Scripture to address issues in the relationship he continued to affirm her worldly, unbiblical points of view during the sessions. Not only was there absolutely no mention of God or His Word during the sessions, the only thing remotely Christian about his practice was that he (inconsistently) asked one of us to open the sessions in prayer. All of his ā€œinsightā€ was entirely secular, contrary to Scripture, and therefore utterly useless. Detrimental to the relationship, actually. In fact, at the conclusion of what turned out to be our final session I again expressed disappointment that he never opened a Bible or referred to Scripture and his response was ā€œThis isnā€™t a Bible studyā€, to which I responded ā€œThen itā€™s not Christian counsellingā€. He had absolutely nothing to offer that you couldnā€™t get from a non-Christian therapist. His ā€œpracticeā€ is Christian in name only. I implore those seeking Godly/Biblical counsel to address your issues to mark and avoid him.
