  • They are also getting a fair bit of funding from the Sg which is a bit of a disgrace. As their support service appears to operate on a simplistic basis of stone walling the human psyche , answering a person advise or responses that transpire that the service user has not been heard at all. A very poor service that has nothing to offer a person if they've exhausted all other avenues. Should be defunded.

Bright Light Relationship Counselling

20

Bright Light Relationship Counselling is the largest charitable provider of relationship counselling services in Scotland, specifically for the residents of Lothians. Clients have the convenience of self-referrals through an online registration service, which is also accessible for those in collaborative programs with employers. Bright Light offers extensive assistance with options for both online and face to face counselling appointments. Their intake process is comprehensive, involving a meet-and-greet session with a practitioner to discuss needs and counselling expectations. Bright Light's counselling extends over six sessions, reviewable at the fourth session. This centres around ensuring the service provides truly personalized solutions for their clients. Distinctively, their family therapy feature extends help not only to couples but to entire family units.

  • Put in my counselling application 4 months ago and was told that I would hear from a member of their team soon (I never did), I have emailed twice since then to get an update of where I am on the waitlist and still no response. Don’t use this place

  • I've only dealt with Bright Light online, and I've been incredibly disappointed and disillusioned by the experience. The counsellor I was paired with has been great to speak to, and genuinely empathic and understanding, but it's been incredibly difficult to communicate with Bright Light, to get the correct log in details for appointments, and to get further information from the actual organisation themselves. It can take extremely long periods of time to get any response at all, and for people dealing with mental health issues, it's really unacceptable to give such an uncaring and unprofessional impression with such poor communication. I will not be continuing my therapy with this organisation.

  • Great service. Affordable, great communication. If I could give them 6 stars I would. For the 10 months I was seeing a therapist at Bright Light I felt in very safe hands.
