Visit WebsiteI’m a professional musician and for many years I’ve experienced acute and debilitating anxiety when it comes to recording (red light fever). I had an important recording pending and I came to Sam to see if she could help offset the negative impact of this fear. I had 3 sessions in the few weeks leading up to the recording and the turnaround was remarkable. It was without doubt the most productive experience I’ve ever had. It was no less intense but all the energy was channelled positively and my performance was better than I’ve ever felt in a recording environment.
The WeaveI cannot put into words how grateful I am for the help and support received and how much Sam has helped me. I was reluctant to try therapy initially having had negative experiences with traditional NHS and college counsellors. Sam has totally turned my world around by improving my confidence, made me far more independent as regards life skills (cooking, cleaning etc) and in general made a massive difference to my anxiety issues. Thankyou so much Sam, you are amazing! Would recommend to pretty much anyone for any problem.
Natalie GriffithsI have been attending therapy sessions with Sam for around 6 months now, and what a life-changing difference it has made so far!! I'd tried various styles of counselling which did initially work but I realised that long-term, I needed something completely different. And fortunately for me I found Sam when I needed therapy the most!! Through Sam's style of therapy & counselling techniques, she has actually got to the root of my issues which previously had only been explored & solved at surface level. Sam's approach is kind, considerate and methodical which gives you a wonderful sense of security, compassion & empathy. I can't thank Sam enough for the help she has given me in getting my life back on track, and I feel very fortunate that I have FINALLY found someone who really does understand me!!

Visit WebsiteAmal is a fantastic therapist. She has performed fascial cranial therapy on my children (both of whom between them have autism, learning difficulties and ADHD). I have seen a great improvement expecially in my daughter as she transitions to secondary school. My little boy seems more in tune with his emotions and more empathetic which is amazing, and overall it has greatly improved our quality of life. Thanks Amal! I look forward to more sessions in the near future!
JessAmal is a gentle soul, always ready to dispense advice and has numerous skills and abilities. A great person to hire for your needs, thanks Amal
Aurelie MI completed training yesterday and the workshop was very informative. I took a lot away from the session with different skills and tools that would be usable for future practice. The inner child training was exceptional and Amal is a great training provider who is approachable, friendly and really cares about what she is teaching.

Visit WebsiteI approached Liverpool Therapy Rooms due to ongoing emotional issues in my personal and a lack of fulfilment in my career/professional life. Having never been to therapy before I was a little apprehensive about what to expect. However, within 5 minutes of talking to Pam I started to feel comfortable enough to open up to her and discuss stuff I'd never spoken with anyone about before. Throughout this initial opening up phase I never once felt judged by Pam as she only sort to offer encouraging words and a safe space to for me to explore my thoughts and feelings. I believe this is a huge testament not only to her ability as a therapist but also Pam as an individual and her overall character. Over the following weeks/months, Pam was instrumental helping me slowly put my world back together; we tackled both the personal/emotional issues and then the career stuff. I never once felt alone and I know that Pam genuinely wanted what was best for me throughout the whole process and even though she would say it was all me, she does deserve a lot of credit as I simply wouldn't have been able to do it on my own. I'm really glad that I reached out and asked for help. Now, I simply approach Pam for sessions as and when I feel like I need them. Therapy has been the best decision of my life, I feel like I'm back in charge of my life, whereas before it felt like it was spiralling out of control.
AdamI didn't know what to expect when i first called Liverpool Therapy Rooms. Pam answered the phone and gave me a free consultation session. I felt instantly comfortable speaking to her. Pam is a wonderful counsellor who i have developed a strong therapeutic relationship with. I feel free to share my struggles with her without any judgement. It felt like she was the first person my life who truly listened and made me feel understood. In our first session, she identified the root causes of my struggles which weren't even completely clear to me at the time. I find this a testament to her ability as counsellor. She has helped me so much on my journey of self discovery and i have grown so much as a person with the support of Pam. I am extremely grateful it was her who answered the phone when i first called.
AaronI had truly lost my way after a difficult breakup and a tough year when i reached out to Pam. Even before i stepped foot through the door she made sure to give me a call and make sure that she was the right fit and to discuss what i needed. Not only is Pam someone who listens with empathy and is a sounding board for my thoughts she is also a guide. My confidence has been rebuilt thanks to her steers and support. There’s a sincerity with Pam that when i doubted myself instilled a bit more of a belief. The approach is extremely client focused, with Pam and i agreeing sessions as regularly as i felt i needed them and then graduating to less frequent. The benefits i’ve felt from counselling cannot be measured and i know Pam would want me to take some credit myself for that and the work i have put in but it is truly thanks to her that i was able to get to this point and i cannot recommend enough!

Visit WebsiteI came into therapy very dubious as to whether Barry or any Counsellor could help me with my issues. Barry was able to ally my fears. Although counselling was sometimes emotional and hard, during our sessions Barry was always empathetic and his insights allowed me to see my life more clearly, especially the habits that were no longer useful to me. Barry's holistic approach, his warmth and unconditional positive regard, created an environment, where I felt safe, listened to and heard. I very much appreciated Barry's unfailing kindness, his ability to interpret and clarify my sometimes muddled thoughts, his presence and humour in our work together and most importantly his belief in me.This has helped me reach a place where, thanks to Barry, I have developed new skills and attitude to deal with life. And all is well at the moment. I highly recommend him.
BarbaraWords can't describe how barry has helped me after only a few sessions. After being on waiting lists for therapy I decided to go down the paid route and it couldn't have been a better decision. 10 minutes after a referral on Barry's website he called me and had a 30 minute chat which got the ball rolling. Following our therapy sessions he's taught numerous techniques on how to deal with my mental health. I couldn't recommend Barry enough he's pulled me out of a very bad place.
Jack MI am a couple of sessions into my time working with Barry and I am really looking forward to future sessions. Barry is a really calming influence who is guiding me through my issues with support, understanding and a deep knowledge of human behaviour. If you are thinking of seeking help /support I highly recommend Barry This is an update after my sessions with Barry. I can't thank him enough for his help. I am leaving therapy with Barry a more rounded individual with a much better understand of myself and what it is to be happy within myself. Barry is a great listener and has a great take on life through a lifetime of experience. He really has helped me and ultimately my family.
