Visit WebsiteI worked with Steven for 18 Zoom sessions over 4 months last year. It was one of the most difficult years of my life in relationship terms, and I will always be grateful to Steven for how he helped me navigate it with so much more clarity, confidence, and honesty than I would have managed on my own. I think it's highly likely that if I hadn't worked with him, the separation I was trying to process would have become permanent. Instead, we got back together during our work together, got engaged six months after my work with Steven ended, and got married six months after that. I was attracted to what Steven offered primarily because his emphasis on “investigating and changing what isn't working” sounded refreshingly action-oriented relative to many forms of relationship counselling/therapy I’d investigated. I have zero interest in just talking endlessly in ways that bring about no actual change, and his focus on goals and milestones, triaging the most painful things, and, ultimately, generating results (however defined) felt like a strong structure to put my trust in. And so it turned out to be. Over the course of our sessions, Steven and I worked on a range of goals I brought to our work, including both emotional (how to have more confidence in what I was doing in a confusing phase, feel less fear about specific possible outcomes, feel more grounded in my attitudes to monogamy versus polyamory) and practical (have specific things to do and not do to help the time feel easier and be what it needed to be). I looked forward to our sessions (weekly to begin with, fortnightly later on) as a patch of my week in which I could learn from the oblique perspectives Steven would bring to my thinking, helping me understand my own and others’ behaviours and responses in new ways, and always leavening our explorations with plenty of pragmatism and humour. I also loved being given homework. A small sample of my tasks: “have no sex this week”, “text an old friend, brief is fine”, “reflect on what you want to take with you and what you want to leave behind”, “read Attached and ask whether x has an avoidant attachment style”, “arrange some self-dates”, “journal nonstop for 40 minutes on the plane”, “be courted!”, “get the Alltrails paid version”. Doing all of them, rather than just thinking about doing them, changed my life. And, finally, at a particular moment of crisis, Steven was there, willing to speak unscheduled at short notice, and offering the bluntness (“that was a terrible text to send”) that was needed to cut through the fog. I have no idea how my life would be right now if I hadn’t worked with Steven, but I am pretty damn confident that it would be distinctly less lovely.
Emily TrosciankoI've had such a great experience with Steven. He provides a safe and non-judgmental space where I can explore my feelings and work through my challenges. He is knowledgeable, compassionate, and has been really helpful for relationship coaching. He gets the challenges of starting to date in LA and it's helped me more than I expected. I recommend him!
Mark BearSteven is a phenomenal sounding board, a wealth of insight into all things relationship, goal-setting, and LGBTQ+, and an expert in when to listen and when to lead a conversation. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Visit WebsiteHoly cow, I have to say I was extremely impressed with Dr. Harel. He really got straight to the heart of things and was incredibly knowledgeable on what's happening and what to do. He was also able to explain things in a simple and easy to understand manner. If you're looking for a couples therapist, then you'll be happy you came here. I'd suggest doing the 15 minute free consultation and you can get an idea for yourself.
Ian GarciaDr. Papikian is highly recommended. His empathic nature, professional training, and intuitive approach make for an insightful therapist. He is a valued colleague who demonstrates genuine interest in the growth of both clients and professional peers.
Kristina Monroe, Psy.D.Dr. Harel is amazing. He is kind, flexible, understanding and professional. It can be difficult to make the decision to get help from a therapist, but from our very first call, Harel made it easy. He is very sensible, soothing and willing to work with you and your budget, schedule and time. During the sessions, he won't sit there and say "uh-huh, yes, sure" -- he actually gives you concrete feedback and helps you understand what you need to and fast. I saw Dr. Harel during a particularly stressful time in my life, and in just 5 sessions, he gave me the tools I needed to get from where I was to a healthier, happier point. I've seen a number of therapists in the past who haven't worked out or where it felt like you are talking forever with no results, but Dr. Harel is very good at what he does, not intimidating at all and truly a rare find. Highly recommended with no hesitation!

Visit WebsiteThis is a great platform, user friendly and with good resources. Our therapist Kirsten was excellent. We did pre-marriage counseling with her and she provided a safe space for my now wife and I to communicate and addressed some of the key issues to look out for in a marriage and how to safely deal with them with love and patience. Additionally, her assessments and supporting materials she provided gave us a good guide to refer back to when we need. She is very professional and always there to help with anything we need and knowledgeable in different areas. I highly recommend her as your therapist!
Gerardo SarmientoKirsten and Couples Learn were great to work with. The pre marital counseling services were excellent. Kirsten really worked with us and helped guide the conversations. She was kind, knowledgeable and provided many helpful tips. We looked forward to our sessions because Kirsten had a great memory and would often call back to things we had been working on. It felt like she really knew us and was able to guide us. We’re grateful we had her help before starting our marriage.
Eryn PendergastMy partner and I have had a really good experience with Couples Learn! We found the relationship assessment that our therapist used very helpful to kick off therapy. Being analytical people, we appreciated the research based view of how our relationship is going and what needs to improve. We learned new ways of communicating and working through our problems that definitely improved our relationship.

Additionally, she is a well-received public speaker, an author, and hosts an insightful radio talk show on human relations.
Visit WebsiteDr. Tull is the best and most supportive therapist in town. I've been working with her for years and we initially met because of marital communication issues. No exaggeration, she helped resolve my issue with my husband in a couple of sessions, so I've continued to see her and over the years she's helped with the loss of my father, IVF, and health challenges with my daughter. She's made herself available to me in ways that were so needed when we had week long hospital stays. She's an absolute necessity in any crisis, and having been through many unexpected crises, having her in my corner made the difference to keep going. I genuinely look forward to therapy and hope this review helps someone out there make a good choice for themselves.
Forever FriendI went in to see Kathryn after going through some marital problems with my husband. Kathryn allowed me to process what was happening and also provided me with wonderful feedback. She made me think about me for once and how much I do and that I should not let others bully me anymore. Kathryn provided me with great techniques I could use when I am becoming upset or when I just need to calm myself when I am beginning to feel anxious. I would recommend Kathryn to anyone who is looking for a therapist who shows compassion and genuinely wants to help you any way she could.
Lisa NSimply put, Kathryn is truly a Godsend! Over the nearly two years I've been working with Kathryn she has brought to light patterns in my behavior and thinking that have helped me transform how I view life's challenges and helped me shed years of self-doubt to bring clarity into my life. The very best part of Kathryn is her ability to cut through the muck and get to the center of the issues. While some therapists allow you to skirt around your problems, Kathryn skillfully draws your attention to the "elephant in the room" and carefully leads you through your challenges so that you can move beyond them and heal. In the process of healing, I have found freedom from past and present hurt, and the freeing forgiveness that comes with it. When you're ready to do the work necessary to heal and live the life you're meant to lead, you will find the support and guidance you are seeking with Kathryn Tull, Psy.D., LMFT.
