  • Kathryn de Bruin is amazing. The training I did with her in Emotionally Focused Therapy four years ago changed my life and since then I make sure I get supervision from her whenever I can. She is a highly skilled therapist, supervisor and trainer. She has a huge heart and is very dedicated, passionate and full of positive energy. If you have the good fortune of working with her, you are blessed! I cannot recommend her highly enough.

  • Kathryn is kind, knowledgeable, and deeply compassionate. She brings great understanding of human connection and it's vital role on the emotional, mental, and physical health of others. She is an attentive and an active listener. Her easy and natural ability to empathize makes everyone feel safe to express who they are and what they are going through without judgement. She brings a highly trained, yet down to earth presence with her no matter the setting, whether she is training other therapists, using play to reach children, or teaching a couples seminar. She knows her stuff, but no one ever feels uncomfortable around her. I highly recommend Kathryn as a therapist, trainer, or conference speaker. Whatever role you find yourself requiring her services, you will only wish you'd met her sooner

  • Tari provides an environment where I feel safe to explore all of my intimacy issues. He has an intuitive and gentle way of teaching new thought patterns, especially when it comes to interacting with those closest to me. I feel stronger and more confident to handle challenges as they come my way, but above all, he has helped me find the missing piece that makes me whole again. It's been such a transformative experience with him as my coach. If you're looking to create real and lasting change, I strongly recommend Tari!

  • After so many years of feeling as though there was little hope of finding that s**ual spark with my best friend and husband, it felt like I’d been given a lifeline after we met with Tari and started to listen to his podcasts. Sometimes, while listening to the podcasts, it was as though he was in my mind, saying the things I’d never had the courage to say to my partner. In the in-person sessions, he was able to understand what each of us was trying to express and helped to translate. I think this is a rare gift he possesses. He hears you and understands you. As someone who has always been too timid to speak my mind regarding se**ual desires, this was the help I needed…someone who understood me and could help my husband understand me as well. My husband and I both felt extremely comfortable being vulnerable and honest with Tari. It gave us a safe space to share things that we’d been unable to express for years. Tari is genuine. He truly does want to help everyone in the room and it shows in his sessions. He’s honest and straightforward with his advice. He’s empathetic to what everyone is going through and feeling. His voice and demeanor are so soothing that you feel yourself opening up about s** without hesitation, even for someone shy like me. My husband and I would walk out of each session truly seeing each other. Our s** life has been altered in a way that I’m not fully able to condense down to a few words. I can say that there’s depth to it, eagerness, and an openness to learn about each other that wasn’t present before. Something major has shifted since seeing Tari and focusing in on our s** life in a positive and open way. For that, I’m so grateful to Tari.

  • I’m 21 years old and though I’ve known for a while that I could benefit from intimacy coaching, I didn’t truly start considering it until a few months ago. My sister met Tari through an acro-yoga class she took from him and recommend I reach out to him. I had no idea what to expect going into this and before my first meeting with him I began convincing myself that this was unnecessary and I should simply cancel, I listened to a few episodes of his podcasts and did a deep dive into his website and while he seemed very knowledgeable in his profession, I still had my doubts. I showed up to his office a bit skeptical but determined to get the most out of the experience, and Tari truly delivered. I’m not good at taking about my emotions, intimacy or anything that will put me in a position of vulnerability, however Tari was incredibly patient while I gathered my nerves to open up to him. I don’t think I’ve ever met someone who can create an environment that feels safe, comfortable, and non judgmental quite like he does; his calming presence goes past a professional skill, it’s clear that he fully embodies his teachings and has connected to his authentic self. We talked for a lot longer than I thought we would, he knew how to guide the conversation when I felt stuck or unsure how to proceed and many times seemed to pluck from my mind the very words I was struggling to vocalize. We went through some exercises and by the end of the one session I felt like we’d covered multiple sessions worth of work. I left his office feeling much more at peace with myself regarding intimacy and while not everything we covered was completely new to me, it was immensely helpful going over it and having him validate certain points. I have decided that for now the one session will be enough for me but I am beyond grateful that I went to him and will definitely be reaching out and seeing him again in the future with more questions or help. To say that Tari is competent in what he does feels like an understatement, he was clearly born to do this work and it was a true pleasure meeting him.

  • I have been seeing Sarah on and off for the past two years and recently, on a more regular basis. Sarah is always willing to work with you and around your schedule and provides honest and genuine feedback. I have seen a handful of other therapists in San Diego but none have given me practical tips and exercises to work on in between sessions as Sarah has. She has helped me with a number of situations I have found difficult to sort out on my own, with patience and compassion. She is easy to open up to and helps you work through your own thoughts in a kind and non-judgmental way. Her advice is helping me gain a better understanding of myself my behaviors. Teamed with practical tips on how to change these behaviors I am becoming a more solid and confident person. I would highly recommend Sarah if you are looking to improve yourself and/or your relationships.

  • Dr. Baya Mebarek is an exceptional therapist who has helped my wife and me rediscover our marriage's love. When we first came to her, we struggled with communication issues, and it seemed like we were constantly at odds with each other. Dr. Mebarek was incredibly patient and understanding, creating a safe space to express our feelings and concerns without fear of judgment. Dr. Mebarek gave us practical tools and techniques to improve communication and deepen our connection. She helped us see that our differences were not weaknesses but strengths that complemented each other. Through her guidance, we understood each other's needs and perspectives better, which brought us closer together. One of the most significant changes we experienced was learning how to listen actively to each other. Dr. Mebarek taught us how to communicate more effectively by paraphrasing and validating each other's feelings, which helped us to avoid misunderstandings and arguments. We are so grateful to Dr. Mebarek for helping us to save our marriage. She is a knowledgeable, compassionate, and insightful therapist who truly cares about her client's well-being. Thanks to her guidance, we now have a stronger and more loving relationship than ever before. We highly recommend her to anyone seeking to improve their relationship.
